My father left a cherry halls cough drop in his 60/40 shirt pocket. It went through the wash and dryer. There's a quarter size stain at the bottom of the pocket and on the front buttoning band. The ingredients are menthol, FD&C blue no. 2 and FD&C red no. 40, glucose syrup and sucrose.

Thanks,
Janet from NJ

Try using a toothbrush and white toothpaste (not gels or blue paste). It may require hot water and quite a bit of scrubbing. When you are through, pour hot water on it from the back side. Stretch the stained part of the fabric up to the faucet to give it high pressure against the back of the material.
