I have a Daschund, she is 2 and has had one litter and is going to have a second May 22nd. I bred her with a Pom and was woundering if anyone has any info on how they will look or any pictures. I have tred to find some photos online but haven't had any luck. I don't think it's very popular mix.

Thanks,
Blakeylou2

Hi, my mini dachshund is pregnant by a Pomeranian. I was wondering, would anybody like one?

Wang wang has the pomeranian "self-destructive" attitude (he goes after pit-bulls) and the dachshund stubbornness. bad on a leash, bossy, and of course he gets away with all of it.

Here are pictures of my Dachshund/Pomeranian mix pups from the day they were born, until 6 months old - they are adorable! Very big surprise, but very loved!

Here is a picture of the whole family. The mom is the doxie, the dad is full pom, then the kids. The girl is short hair and white and copper, the boy got the long hair and those EARS!

Awww They are all sooo cute!

This is my BAYBI.... she is Pomeranian/Dachshund mix.. I call her a Poma-weenie. lol She is very protective of her "possessions" which tend to be my slippers, a shoe left out of the closet or a shirt out of the hamper. Super lovable, energetic, curious OMG she loves to TASTE everything including things that are not edible using her tongue to explore the world. She loves the sound of the Microwave DING and goes dashing when the refrigerator door is opened. She is one of a kind and I wouldnt trade her for the world.

Hi,
We bought our dachshund/Pomeranian at a Bird Show. The lady had two puppies and one was asleep the other wide awake. Guess which one we chose...Her name is Kimber and she is all play. She always has to have some kind of toy with her at bedtime and if you start playing fetch with her it's a neverending game. She is a very smart dog and learns extremely quick. Her mom was a dachshund and dad was a Pom. She has the energy of a Pom but looks like a tall dachshund.

I adopted a pom/daschund mix from a rescue center. I have two kids: a three year old and a four year old. They absolutely love Quizmo. They pick him up, get in his face, run with him, chase him. You name it! Quizmo has a fantastic temperment. He never snips or growls at the kids and he puts up with just about everything they can dream up. I'm usually quipping at the kids to leave him alone for a while, but Quizmo always comes back for more.

FYI: He has the softest coat imaginable.

This is Pixie, the half Pomeranian half Miniature Dachshund mix. She is about 12 years old in human years. She loves sleeping on blankets and pillows. She also loves sitting with people. She barks alot but we still love her and she always knows when it's time to eat. She has arthritis in her back legs so she isn't the best at getting up and down the stairs. So that's my Pixie. Hope you like her.

This is Daisy. She's a pomeranian dachshund mix puppy about 2 months old. At first we weren't sure what kind of dog she was until we asked the owner. But, then I was still confused because I thought she called her a dotson. And when I searched online I had a hard time finding any dotson pups. Then I found out I was saying and spelling wrong. It wasn't dotson, it's dachshund and it's pronounced (docsun).. Haha.. go figures. Well, I just recently bought her from a co-worker for $350 with her first shots. She's not yet spayed but we'll get that taken cared of soon enough. Anyways, I bought her for my son. Since he's an only child he needed a playmate at home. And she is great with kids. She loves to cuddle and play. She's very protective of him and makes a pretty good watch dog too because she's so alert and barks at any sign of noise outside. She is so smart and really easy to train. We take her out about 3-5 times a day. She has the face and body of a dachshund but her ears and fur look like a pomeranian's. I'm sure other owners would argree that these dogs make great family pets. We love Daisy so much that she's already part of the family.

This was Leon.He was mini-dachs-pom. Shortly after my Husband came back from Iraq he carelessly let him out and was hit by a car. I loved his personality. Ive never seen another animal with his sense of humor before.he was always smiling and he was my little comedian, always making me laugh. He was such a goof. He was very loving and loved to cuddle. He could give high fives and say I love you.

He was a very calm dog an a fast learner when it came to teaching him new tricks like that. When he jumped off of the bed his front paws and back paws shot out like he was flying. He was super man. My favorite thing about him was his yoda ears and his big smile. I can't really say what I would do for another dog like him.

My little boy, chubbs, is one year old and the cutest little dog around. We bought him for $25 from some kids outside a grocery store, not knowing his breed, and it was the best $25 I've ever spent. Now that's he's grown up it's clear that he's a dachshund/pom mix. He's got a beautiful coat and great temperament. He is very energetic and loves to play fetch. He is very, very smart, and learns tricks and commands very easily. He can be a little jerk sometimes, because once he gets going he can't calm down. He's also an excellent cuddler and gives lots of kisses. He's overall just a great dog and a great friend.

This is Zuko. He is a 2 year old pomeranian/dachsund cross. From reading previous messages, it seems this particular cross breed really has great temperments! My dog is well mannered, he listens well, is very gentle and is great with kids! He has never EVER bitten. Not even by accident. He licks to death, but thats it. I will definately fid a doxeranian again if i decide on another dog!

We got two of the cutest little puppies. They are half Pomeranian, and half Dachshund. We planned on getting one, and just couldn't resist two. We got the runt, little girl, and an all blond boy. They really are the cutest things. Now everyone in my family wants one, especially my Mom, and Sister. I would really love to get them each one. Mostly so I don't have to hear them pretend like my dogs are theirs. haha. No, they would really love this dog I'm sure.

Please let me know if you know a breeder or if your having a litter soon, or if there's anywhere you know of I can find this puppy. I would like the runt for my sister, and another one for my Mom. Please contact me at reginakrft AT yahoo.com
Thank you!

My dog is the best dog alive. His mother was a dachshund and his father a long haired pomeranian. I bought both the brother and sister but today the sister was ran over by a car and no longer with us. She was ten pounds and the boy Scooter is 15 pounds. He is my baby. He does need to have surgery on his knee because it is popping in and out of place but it is fixable and very common in small dogs. Good luck.

This is my dach-pom, Cocoa, when he was 10 weeks old. He was a birthday present from my parents. He is even cuter now. My parents said they had another that looked more like a pomeranian. Cocoa looks more like a dachshund, but he does not have the long nose or the long body. He is very playful and energetic. He was a year old in September.

I have a Pomeranian-dachshund mix. He is 2 years old. It depends on which parent has the dominant gene. Like mine is a long hair, but most of the pictures that I have found have all been of short haired ones. Mine has the long body like a dachshund and the hair of a pom. Legs and ears like a dachshund, and snout of a pom. He is very cute. He is chocolate colored from head to toe. Literally. Eyes and nose match his fur. I was lucky. The people I got him from said that out of about 6 litters in the last few years or so, he is the only one that has ever been that color. but like I said it can vary. When I can get a picture of him on my computer I can send you it. Please send me a message back if you would like to know more about my dog or if you would like me to send you a pic when I get one. She has the long hair of the dach. and the tail of the pom. She is probably the best dog we have ever owned and we get complements on her all the time. I can't wait to see what her puppies look like! hey i have a Dasharanian and i love her. She doesn't hardly bark unless she gets really scared. Ive had her from birth and so she is very attached to me and my mother. Her mother was a dachshund and her father a pomeranian and the two got along wonderfully. They are now gone and let me tell you Star (my dog) is very much like her mother. I had had her mom for 7 years when she passed and it was hard. The dogs can get very protective depending on the parents and so you want to know who you are getting the dog from and ask about the parents.

We call my dog a Dasharanian and she is now laying at my feet.. she is probably 9 inches tall and about as long as any dachshund you have ever seen. Depending on what the mother is, the point at which you should know the size. Neither dog is very big but still you also want to know about hair. Star has long pom hair but it is slicked back like a dachshund. They can get fat. So don't treat them like a garbage disposal. Mine loves human food but i only allow it rarely.

One more thing, the seizures are from the pom in your dog. Poms have a slight tendency to develop seizures. But still have him or her tested.. ummm if your dog has a seizure at your house the one thing you can do is make them comfy... oh and give them sugar water.. keep a syringe close by without the needle. Keep sugar near your water so you can make up some quick and that's the best you can really do... mine has small one now and then and its scary and I've been around it my entire life...(we had tons of poms growing up) we had one last year bite its tongue and its eyes bulged. I don't have any pics of Star right now. I'm not at my house but I'll get some up soon.

I AM SOO SCARED FOR HIM, DO YOU KNOW IF IT IS A COMMON THING FOR DOXIES TO HAVE AND WHAT NORMALLY CAUSES THEM? PLEASE HELP ME FIND OUT HOW TO STOP THEM OR IF I EVEN CAN. HE WILL BE 2 IN FEB. i've only seen a few pictures of the breed online and they're soooooo cute. i really want one but there's no way to contact a breeder. i live in md and i don't want to drive too far to get it but i do like to choose which one i want out of a litter. i have two really big dogs right now that i love but im looking for a new addition to the family that i can pick up and cuddle with. before i saw a picture of a dameranian (that's actually what the breed is called) i didn't really like little dogs (hense the two giant breeds) but these little cuties have me hooked. i have to have one! but, do you think that this breed would be okay with my two big dogs (i've got a laid back leonburger<3 -boy, and an energetic german sheperd- girl) im thinkin i want another boy. do you think he'd be okay here? also if anyone has any approximate measurements of height or weight for this dog or its usually temperment. oh and is this dog a barker, 'cause i can't stand a yappy little dog. but barking when someones at the door is okay. i can't wait to hear back and please post more pictures, they're just so cute!

Our pup has been home with us for just 3 days. Her mom is a dapple mini dachshund and her dad, a red pomeranian. I have added a few pictures at your request. Enjoy...

I had a dog, my beloved Bosco, who was 1/2 Pom, 1/4 long haired Dachshund, and 1/4 Cocker Spaniel. I have lots of pics scanned on my other computer and will send you some if interested. Send me your e-mail and I'll forward it over to my desktop where the photos are stored. Bosco was either born with some sort of brain disorder or else something happened to him before I got him. After I picked him out at 6 weeks of age, he was very slow to develop. He couldn't walk well and fell a lot. He began having seizures at 6 months of age, and his condition worsened with each seizure. He died at 2 1/2 years after a seizure that would not stop. He had been totally dependent on me for several months, wearing diapers and being carried everywhere. I loved that dog -- he was so special. I had him cremated and have his ashes in a special oak urn next to the chair where he sat with me all the time, and I have some ashes in a small urn I wear as a necklace. I would be very interested in seeing your puppies when they are born, and if they resemble Bosco, I might want one. My heart still hurts from the loss of Bosco last fall, but I can't stop looking for a dog that resembles him. I have other dogs, and I have a Jack Russell puppy that just can't fill his shoes.

Please send me an e-mail at yankees AT kans.com with your information and I'll forward some photos of Bosco. Please also let me know where you are located in case I want one of the puppies.

I look forward to hearing from you.
