I need to build a motorized mirror-ball about 20" in diameter for a dance I'm helping with. I am thinking about using the little motors that turn crib mobiles and some sort of light-weight frame to glue light-weight plastic mirror pieces to. Any ideas?

How about blowing up a balloon (larger size). Paper mache the ballon, once dry glue the mirror pieces on & then attach the motor to the top. Realy easy & not expensive.

I got my motor from the Christmas shop--I made sure it was built to hold the weight of my disco ball. It works!
