Thanks for the tip on the baby oil & hairdryer. I had no luck with the toothpaste either, but the baby oil was a lifesaver!

Dryer sheets get most of it, then use baking soda on a damp sponge

Thank you so much for the tip of laundry sheets and hair dryer. My 3 year old colored on every wall in her room. Took me a few but we got it all off without any damage to the paint.

I tried the toothpaste and it did not work very well. What specific kind should I use?

Thanks for the tips. I used a hair dryer and softener sheets and it worked great. I know the Mr Clean Magic Erasures work but I didn't have any. Just an FYI for everyone, if you use the Magic Erasure, don't let your kids touch them. They've been reported to burn through their skin due to the acid in them.

Thanks again

Thanks! The dryer sheet worked well, and when combined with the hair dryer it was amazing! It came off in just a few minutes.

Do you hate when your children or brothers and sisters get permanent marker stains on the wall? Well, I have a solution for you and its very simple. All you have to do is use any toothpaste (maybe Colgate) and wipe the mark away. Works every time!

Tip: Using Hot Air and Baby Oil

Archived on 10/31/2006

Soften the crayon by blowing hot air on it with a hair dryer, then wipe with a clean cloth with a little baby oil on it. Works great!

I use fabric softner sheets. I just scrub the wall or whatever with them and it comes right off! (01/24/2006)

RE: Cleaning Crayon off Walls

I've used the foamy shaving cream on tables and the like to clean up crayon so I'm sure it would work on walls as well. I've also heard it works great for most carpet stains and the like. (01/25/2006)

My daughter has 2 young children and crayons have also been a problem for her. She bought the Mr. Clean Eraser Sponges. It worked great! It's made for things that have pitted surfaces like some vinyl-coated refrigerators or plastered walls. I have used it on my leather couch and it worked wonderfully. (01/26/2006)
