The tortillas you buy packaged ( flour or corn) in the grocery are already cooked. Unless it states they are uncooked which you can find in a different section usually by the cans of bisquits. The tortillas also should have an expiration date on the package but if you bought them and put them in a different container and can't remember the expiration date, then go by the smell first off. Should smell simular to bread. They should not be dry and stiff. Nor should they be moldy. I hope this helps.

I am assuming you mean uncooked. They won't be 'mushy' or, on the other end of the spectrum, dry to where they 'crack' easily.
