One might consider putting a small trash can in each room. This would come in handy when trying to tidy up in a hurry. You'd save on steps wasted on having to go to another room to toss something out. Your mind might wander and you forget what you were doing in the 1st place.

Then to save money on trash liners you can use this tip...

Using Grocery Bags

Use supermarket grocery bags for small wastebasket liners. Fold up the extra ones, and store them in the bottom of the wastebasket to save time looking for them when you empty the basket.

Princess Diana and her butler had a system for this. When a basket was full, she'd set it by the door, so it coould be emptied. What I do is tie the bag closed and set it by the door, so it goes out on the next trip. I get a clean bag from the supply of clean ones in the bottom of the basket.

We call the bag near the door "Princess Di's trash." Somehow, taking out the trash seems more glamourous these days.

As long as they don't have holes in the bottom so nasty stuff leaks out all over them.....
