Turkey Loaf

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 1/4 cup egg substitute
  • 1 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 1 tsp. rubbed sage
  • 1/2 tsp. celery salt
  • 2 lbs. lean ground turkey
  • 1 jar (12 ozs.) fat-free turkey gravy, warmed

Directions:

In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Crumble turkey over mixture and mix well. Press into a 9x5 inch loaf pan coated with cooking spray (or make into patties and grill). Cover and bake at 350 degrees F for 65-70 minutes, or until juices run clear. Serve with gravy.

Tip: Turkey Loaf

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs. ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup tomato juice or V-8
  • 1/4 cup. onion flakes
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Directions:

Mix all ingredients. Put 2/3 of the mixture in a loaf pan and cover with fresh sliced mushrooms. Add remainder of meat mixture and another layer of mushrooms. Bake at 375 degrees F for 1 hour.
