I want to remove nicotine from painted wooden door frames. Any ideas? Thank you.
Distilled vinegar and water solution using a soft rag and gentle elbow grease usage :-)
The Mr. Clean Eraser bars/sponges, once thoroughly wet and then wrung out, are excellent at removing all kinds of "stuff". I've never used them on flat paint, but they work well on all kinds of semi-gloss and glossy paint surfaces. I would try them first on a discrete area and if it works as well as I think it will, just go for it! Just keep rinsing and re-wetting as necessary. I've no idea what these things are made of but they truly do clean fantastically. Too boot, as allergic as I can be to chemicals, I have never experienced any type of chemical reaction to the "original" Mr. Clean Erasers. Good luck and happy cleaning! :-)
