Organizing Jewelry With Ice Cube Trays

Use ice cube trays to organize jewelry. A few trays will fit nicely into your bureau drawer, and you can use the divided compartments to keep earrings together and to separate small-chain necklaces.

Wonderful idea.

Also it brings back some great memories. My mom used candy boxes. Back in the 50's you had to give moms a box of candy on Mother's Day. I think there was a law LOL. She used the gold ones with small slots for her earrings. (I pierced my ears in my junior year with an ice cube and a needle. She pitched a fit but a month later did her own. She was so crazy about it she began a massive collection.)

One year we gave her a huge red satin heart covered in red roses and pearls and full of chocolates. We got the candy and she got a "jewelry box" that she kept on her dresser until she died. :)

What a great idea, NatashaLee. I have been using the large Sunday through Saturday pill holders for a long time. But, this method seems so much easier, you can see everything at a glance. Thanks for sharing.

Ice cube trays sound like an excellent idea for a dresser drawer. I use egg cartons. The top will close so if the carton gets moved all contents still remain in their own little nest.

Ice cube trays work great for me too. I use 3 trays and have hot glued them to a piece of cardboard. Makes it much easier to transport when I take them out of the drawer.

Store Earrings in Ice Cube Trays

I love earrings and was tired of not being able to organize them where they stayed together (besides using the little Ziploc bags you can buy at the craft stores). I enjoy watching HGTV for all the ideas they have and found this one on one of the episodes of House Hunters. Use ice cube trays!

This was a brilliant idea, so I rushed to the dollar store to purchase some trays. This has been so wonderful being able to locate a complete pair of earrings in a hurry. My jewelry chest has deep drawers and I can stack them 3 trays high. Hope this works for you!

To organize your jewelry so you can find it and not have tangles or lost pieces, store it in ice trays or egg cartons. They can be stacked in your closet or spread out to view if you keep it or plan to sell it at a yard sale.

RE: Ice Cube Trays for Jewelry

Love it. I am going to grab 2 of my pile of saved egg cartons (I knew they would come in handy although my husband begged me to get rid of them), and paint in bright colors with two paints I came across while cleaning up the other day. (04/02/2008)

I have a cheap and simple way to keep your earrings and rings; ice trays! Imagine how many ice trays you can fit in your top dresser drawer, and we all know these can be stacked very easily! Could also be used with craft supplies, office supplies even in the shop for nuts and bolts. :)

Ice cube tray come in so many colors now. I use ice cube trays to store my necklaces or earrings. I put a pair in each section.

Plastic ice cube trays make great organizers for rings and earrings. I have mine sorted into them and have them in one of the small plastic storage bins with shallow drawers.
