In the northern hemisphere from the equator to the tropic of cancer,which is 23 degrees 26 minutes north of the equator, is tropical. Everything north of the tropic of cancer to the arctic circle is subtropical including Georgia. The Arctic Circle is 66 degrees and 33 minutes north of the equator
