Joints Cracking While Doing Yoga

I have just started trying to do yoga by watching Namaste Yoga on FitTV. One thing I notice is that my joints crack a lot. Will that subside the more I do it? It's a little annoying.

Thanks,
Joe

My joints do the same thing. Love the show also. I have felt great. I started 2 weeks ago.

A friend of mine told me to take a vitamin e liquid
capsule and that would oil my joints. Well, I thought
why not? I do daily and have no more cracking joints. By the way, my friend is Chinese.

Keep on cracking.:) When i was yung my knees cracked so loudly when I was walking that I was embarrassed in quiet places. But I kept on walking, etc. Now my knees are 69 yrs old, quiet, and painless. Several of my friends my age have had 1 or both knees "replaced". Just my personal story.

Hi Joe,

That's pretty normal. You're not harming your joints.

The cracking should subside as you get more limber. As your practice continues, you may notice your neck and spine clicking into place when you least expect it.

Yoga's a great way to get fit!

P.S. I'm a yoga instructor.
