Roof vents can get clogged from sewage backing up into the stacks from below or insect nests from above. Keep an eye and ear out for the gurgle turning into additional plumbing poltergeists such as burps into some other fixture. If so you will probably need to get your stacks cleaned.
It means the drain is not vented properly in the roof. Sometimes do you feel as though the sink has hiccups?
Hi, I'm not exactly a plumbing expert, but I'm married to a retired plumber/general contractor.
As far as I'm aware, that gurgling noise is a good sign. It just means the water has all traveled through the line without any problem. I wouldn't worry about the gurgle; I'd worry if the sink didn't gurgle!
