Cook onion in hot fat until tender. Add all remaining ingredients aside from meat and rice. Cut meat in sticks and add to sauce and then bring to boiling point. Place hot rice in center of chop plate (large plate or platter) and then surround with meat and sauce. Will serve 6 people with not a scrap left over! Comparatively inexpensive and very good!

It sounds good but, bacon drippings? All that grease. I can feel my arteries crease up as we speak. How about some olive oil, light kind.It's good for you and tastes good too :)
I know all that GREASE and BUTTER and WHOLE MILK and all that BAD food must have caused my father's death because he ate lots of that every day! He ONLY lived to the age of 101+! Robin, I love your recipes. They taste great!
