- 6-8 onions
- 1 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. celery seed
- 1 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cup mayonnaise
Peel onions, slice and pull apart. Boil vinegar, water, sugar, and salt slightly. Pour over onions while boiling hot. Cover and leave in refrigerator overnight. Drain well in the morning. Add mayonnaise and celery seed and mix well. Cool before serving.
