Toast bread and place cheese in between toast. Place into microwave for 40 seconds. Variations: add condiments (mustard) or meat (ham) or veggie (tomato). Quick and easy.

we do the "quickie" grill cheese in the microwave too, but, I go on to add some salsa, and bacon bits, on top of the melted cheese, it's delish!

I like to toast my bread also and put butter and cheese on it while warm. I like the fact that it saves washing a skillet also. I thought I was the only person that liked to do that.

Another cheater is to wrap the whole sandwich in tin foil and cook on your iron. I never ironed anything else while a student.

That brings back memories. My sons used to make grilled cheese like that as they weren't allowed to use the stove when I wasn't home. The toaster and Microwave were OK though.

Great idea, thank you. It saves me the calories of using butter and frying in a pan!
