It is a Grey Crested Crane from dry savannah in Africa and south of the Sahara. More info from Wikipedia.com

I hope this Zoo has a breeding program, or else they are contributing to the demise of this lovely species.

Having experience on the California Condor project, I know how difficult it can be to determine sex in some birds.

Lovely bird.
