I froze some mac & cheese. When it thawed out it was very 'blah'. Anybody got any suggestions for perking up something that shouldn't have been frozen; or was frozen incorrectly?

Chuck in a can of spaghetti sauce & some fried & drained ground beef & or turkey or sausage.
Or just add some more different cheeses & a bit more milk & margarine.

Hi, While I've never frozen mac and cheese, I'd add a bit of seasoned ground beef or ground turkey meat like you would fix for tacos and some salsa. Stir it all up & reheat in a casserole dish. Maybe serve a green salad with it. Also, something else you could mix with the macaroni and cheese & serve a different way: 1-2 cans (6 ozs.) tuna (drained), 1 can cream of mushroom soup, some sauteed onion, 1 can mushroom pieces (optional), 1 can of green peas (drained), a sprinkle or 2 of oregano (optional). Stir altogether, put in a casserole dish & heat thoroughly, garnish as desired. Best of Luck!

I have made macaroni salad out of left over macaroni and cheese. Just add some salad dressing or mayonnaise and some pickle relish or anything else you would put in a macaroni salad. The cheese adds to the flavor.
