What is this plant? (Hosta)
A friend of mine just bought a house and was wondering what this plant is?

Thanks in advanced,
Libby from Canada

Yep, it's a Hosta. I, too, love this plant. It has gotten below freezing here many times and this hardy little plant just keeps coming back. When we
move I'm taking it with me.

Yes it's a Hosta. They come in several dozen varieties.

That's a hosta. I have them planted all around my garage, and I just love them. They are so easy to take care of. They like shade and partial sun. Mine have filled in all around the garage, and I even have shoots to share with friends every spring. I love them!

It does look like a Hosta to me. Did you know that its also Prince Charle's favourite plant.
There are supposed to be over 3000 varieties (source Wikipedia, seems a lot to me.) so thats as far as I can go with helping you out.
They are loved by snails and slugs though so be careful if they are a problem in your area.

It's a Hosta, will have long shoots with purple flowers in july, Aug and sept, hummingbirds love them.
