Looking for a Safe Internal Flea Treatment

Other than the a splash of vinegar in the dogs drinking water to deter the fleas, is there anything else that is safe and can be consumed by the pets that will also help?

PLEASE DO *NOT* give your dog garlic... it can kill them! Here's one of the may lists online to avoid for dogs:

I've tried brewers yeast in the past with really no success. Your best bet is to put Borax (found in laundry aisle at the store) between mattress/springs, cushions on chairs, etc. where your pet can't get to it. Vac cum up about once a week... makes the house smell good, too! Then check here: www.thriftyfun.com/tf692775.tip.html as well as other places on the net about how to make your own flea traps. Lots of ideas online but PLEASE DO *NOT* give your dog garlic!

I have read that garlic and brewer's yeast are good for that. I have never tried them, but a few minutes of research on the Net should give you all you need to know. Good luck!
