Ingredients

  • 1 lemon or lemon supreme cake mix
  • 1 package lime gelatin (regular size)
  • 1 1/4 cup boiling water
Frosting:
  • 1 package instant lemon pudding (4 serving size)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 1 carton Cool Whip (8 oz.)

Directions

Bake cake in a 9x13 inch pan as directed on box. Poke holes in cake with a fork, after it has baked 20 minutes. Mix lime gelatin and boiling water, cool. Pour over cake when cool.

For Frosting: Combine pudding, powdered sugar and milk; beat on slow speed of mixer for 1 minute. Fold in Cool Whip and spread on cake. Refrigerate cake. Makes about 4 cups or enough to frost one 9x13 inch pan or two 9 inch pans.
