Butterscotch Fudge


  • 1 cup walnuts, finely chopped
  • 1 jar marshmallow creme
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • Ad
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 bag butterscotch morsels (12oz.)
  • 1 tsp. orange extract
  • 1 tsp. grated orange rind


Line an 8 inch square pan with foil. Spread 1/2 cup of walnuts, evenly, on the bottom of the pan and set aside. In a heavy saucepan, combine the marshmallow creme, sugar, evaporated milk, butter and salt together. Bring to a full rolling boil, and boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat and add the butterscotch morsels. Stir until they are melted and the mixture is smooth. Stir in the orange extract and orange rind and pour into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of walnuts on top. Chill until firm.
