Oxyclean works really well - soak the arrmipt part of the shirts in hot water and 2 scoops of oxyclean. Leave for several hours or overnight. Scrub the now-softened stains and then wash as usual. Note: this does wear our the shirt faster than they would normally... I don't know, maybe after a year or 2?
Hydrogen peroxide works.Try the cream developer in beauty supply stores. Be careful not to leave it in too long or you'll burn your skin. You can even try tooth whiteners, but that's spendy.
