Reusing Dairy Containers For Tomato Based Leftovers

I live alone, but often cook more then enough, when I make a meal, to give to others. I save all my margarine tubs, whipped topping tubs, etc. to be used specifically for that purpose. That way I don't have to worry about getting my dishes returned, and the recipient can just recycle them.

This is a great idea!. When I cook for others, I often use a glass bowl/or some other bowl and find they don't return it. I'll remember this tip. Thank you for sharing :)

Tip: Reusing Dairy Containers For Tomato Based Leftovers

Reuse your cottage cheese, butter, sour cream containers, etc. for leftovers, especially for those containing tomato based foods that will stain. I send these home with my daughters with leftovers in them and if they bring them back they get refilled, if not no big loss.
