My dog seems to have an anxiety about motorcycles? Is the way dogs hear different than humans and maybe more sensitive to sounds?

Not only is a dog's hearing more sensitive, he hears a wider range of sound frequencies. Some frequencies are painful - that's why dogs howl when a firetruck goes by. Fido isn't just singing along!

Yes, they are definitely more sensitive to sounds (and this includes cats)!
