Garden: Unknown Flower

My friend gave me a start of this odd looking plant. I thought I had killed it, but the other day I was surprised when I saw this awesome flower. Does anyone know the name of it?

I don't know what it is either but it really is a pretty thing. I will keep checking to see if anyone knows. Your friend did not know what it is either?

You have an epiphyllum; just keep up with what you're doing since it's blooming already, they come in a very wide range of colors yellow, red, orange, fuchsia, by color. There is even Night Blooming cereus that are extremely large fragrant and only bloom at night, otherwise known as dragon fruit.
