We just had to have our sewage line cleaned out (city sewer) and they said that there is still a lot of sludge in the pipe. Is there a way to keep sludge from building up? Is there a product to use to "clean" the sewage pipe?

You will want to ask the city what to do. Given the environmental damage that lots of chemicals do to our water supply, the city will probably know just what you need to use.

Pour blue -stone down drain and leave overnight. Copper sulfate is the proper name. It is also said to destroy roots that have grown through.
