Saute 1/2 cup green onions, 1 medium chopped onion, 1/2 cup bell pepper, 1/2 cup celery in 1 Tbsp. oil for 3-5 minutes or until transparent. Add 1 clove minced garlic and saute for another 3-5 minutes. Add 1 lb. cooked hamburger or sausage or ground turkey. Heat thoroughly. Add salt, pepper and 1 tsp. Italian seasoning and stir. Then add 2 cups cooked and cooled rice. Heat and stir until everything is mixed together.
Hi, my 5 yr old grand daughter just told me she had dirty rice for supper, I said what? She said grandma it's not really dirty, that's just what you call it. So I had to get on here & find out if anyone knew what this was, cause I've never heard of it. I make stuff peppers a lot like this recipe. I'm sure gonnna try this. It sounds really good.
