Wanted to share this with you : ) We had my daughter Robbie's 19th and I went to the bank and got her:
19-$5's
19-quarters
19-dimes
19-nickles
19-pennies
We wrapped each in aluminum foil.
Each contained different amounts from one penny to a five dollar bill.
She had to be careful in order not to rip any, just in case it had paper money in it
and some were empty, but she didn't know that until she opened them.
I didn't tell her what the "pattern" was, if she guessed it then she could keep it : )
If she didn't, well then I would be richer.
I did something like that for my nephews 10th, 10 dimes, a package with ten candy-bars, Toy "clackers with 2 hands (10 fingers), Box of 10 fruit treats, gloves, $10 quarters, etc. I even took a wooden ruler, cut off 2 inches and wrapped up the 10 in piece left over!
My sailor son turned 21 this year just days before shipping out to Iraq. He had his things packed for storage and had to pack lightly to ship so anything of size was a problem. I used a similar concept as you did for Robbie except I carried it farther by making 21 sets of 21 items including cash. 21 pieces of candy and treats. 21 rubber bands and paper clips for his work. 21 return address labels. All sorts of useful things. It was different and interesting plus met the needs on space and usefulness.
