Reusing Plastic Lids Under Potted Plants

I realized this morning, that my coffee can lid, which used to go in the recycle bag, was perfect for going under a flower pot to catch any water. Then I realized that there are different sizes of plastic lids, and some are solid colors. They look just as good as the ones I usually buy!

Julrobs,

How can we educate people? I see people buying those thin, clear pot saucers all the time. They are so thin, they couldn't last very long. And they are not cheap. I just read an ad at Amazon for a dozen 12 inch saucers of this type. Over $16.oo + shipping!!

I use coffee can lids all the time. Some are silver, some gold and some black. They look good and will last a lifetime....and they are free. Glad to see you spreading the word on ThriftyFun.
