Mothers Day Gift: IOU's

Bronze Post Medal for All Time! 146 Posts

This is a little Mother's Day Gift tip that is really very easy to do and it doesn't involve spending money that's already tight. Take a pretty envelope and fill it with IOUs for everything from hair-brushing to back rubs; foot soaks (as someone else mentioned) and foot rubs to facials or any other service you can think of that would be enjoyed by Mom or Grandmother. Tell her that the IOUs can be spent anytime she wants to.

My Mom loved having her feet rubbed and the grandchildren were happy to do that for her while she told them a story. You know what your own mother would enjoy and you can ask your children for ideas. You might be surprised at how well they observe what we like, Little things being done by the people she loves most in the world is what's important.

Happy Mother's Day to Everyone,

Source: This is something we've often used in our family. I've been on the receiving end of a few envelopes myself and I spent every one of those IOUs too. It was such a thoughtful little gift that really wasn't so little in the long run. Nice memories.
