I bought off-white curtains and washed them per the instructions. They came out with yellow streaks. How can I get rid of them?

I would take them back to the store and tell them you washed them before you hung them up and this is what happened.

I'm not a smoker. These are brand new curtains that I just bought and washed, maybe something is wrong with my washer.

Try washing them again but this time only use "Oxy-Clean" & no detergent. If this doesn't work, try adding 2 can's of regular (not sugar free) Coca-Cola to your wash (not at the same time as the Oxy-Clean. If this doesn't work, pour hydrogen peroxide directly on the stains (after testing for colorfastness first)

* Are you a smoker or is any one in your family? This is one cause of yellow streaks.

If the oxyclean doesn't work try Rit Dye Remover.

Try soaking the curtains with some generic oxyclean. Don't waste your money on the brand name product. I buy the generic oxyclean at either Dollar General or Family Dollar.
