Mini Cheese Balls

Ingredients
  • 1 tub Philadelphia Chive & Onion Cream cheese spread
  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) mozzarella shredded cheese
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup toasted walnuts, ground

Directions

Mix cream cheese spread and mozzarella cheese until well blended. Stir in chopped bacon and seasoning.

Shape mixture into 54 balls, 1 level tsp. each. Roll in walnuts. Cover with plastic wrap.

This is a terrific idea. The idea of mini cheese balls could probably be adapted to any cheese ball recipe. I wondered what size package of shredded mozzarella...it now comes in 8 oz and 16 oz. As you may have guessed, I'm not much of a cook, so I need exact proportions for it to be right. Thanks.

Editor's Note: Use an 8 oz. package of shredded mozzarella cheese.
