An incredible cheese ball with a special ingredient-peanut butter! So delicious. I've been making this since I was a teen!

Ingredients:

Ad

  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tsp minced onion
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • crushed peanuts

Directions:

Mix cream cheese, peanut butter and cheddar cheese in a medium bowl. After well mixed, add onion and sour cream. Chill in refrigerator over night. Now sculpt mixture into a ball and roll in crushed peanuts. Serve with crackers.

This is a surprisingly good appetizer for the holidays.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package pitted dates
  • 1 bunch small grapes (red or green) same number of grapes as you have dates
  • freshly ground pepper
  • 1 8 oz. package cream cheese
  • 1.5 - 2 cup chopped nuts of your choice (walnuts, or pecans or pistachios)
Ad

Steps:

  1. Open dates and lay one grape inside each date.
  2. Sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper.
  3. Enclose grape into date. It will not cover the grape entirely.
  4. Take approximately 1 heaping tsp. of cream cheese and wrap around date/grape. Roll in your hand to form a ball and set aside. It's ok if cream cheese does not completely cover date/grape.
  5. Roll entire ball in nuts and refrigerate.
  6. When ready to serve, put toothpicks into the little "cheese balls" and serve with crackers.

You just mix up the cream cheese and the pastrami and eat this on crackers or you could use celery sticks or dip carrot sticks into it as a dip.

Ingredients:

  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese softened
  • 1 package Deli ultra thin pastrami, finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Worchestershire sauce
  • 4 drops hot pepper sauce, optional
  • assorted crackers, celery stick or carrot sticks one of the three
Ad

Steps:

  1. In a bowl combine and mix well the first four ingredients. These would be cheese, meat, Worcestershire sauce and hot pepper sauce.
  2. Shape into a ball and place on serving dish. Serve with assorted crackers, celery sticks or carrot sticks.

This recipe makes 8 servings.

I am looking for sweet cheese ball recipes, for example key lime or white chocolate. The mixes can be purchased online or in specialty stores. I would like to make my own.

This recipe is my family's favorite and I've given out the recipe many times. Not very low-cal but delicious!

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

1 8oz pkg. cream cheese, softened

1 stick butter (no substitutes)

1/4 tsp vanilla

3/4 cup powdered sugar

2 Tbsp brown sugar

3/4 cup mini chocolate or cinnamon chips (reg size is okay too)

3/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter and vanilla until fluffy. Gradually add sugars; beat just until combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Cover and refrigerate for about 2 hours. Shape into a ball and refrigerate again until you can roll it in the nuts.

(i just put it in a bowl and sprinkle the nuts on top)

Serve with regular, chocolate or cinnamon graham crackers. The new graham sticks work well also.

Enjoy!
