I'm having some girlfriends over for dinner on Saturday and would like to make some blender drinks with all the fresh fruit available right now (cantaloupe, berries, etc.) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Vodka or rum would be fine fine. Thank you all for your help.

Yeah...I agree with Karie, coconut flavored rum mixed with a juice of some sort. I usually use Hawaiian punch. It tastes awesome and it's all fairly cheap! Hope this helps Annie and have fun at your party!!

We like to use the Malibu Rum (Parrot Bay rum or any coconut flavored rum) and mix that with cranberry-raspberry juice and orange juice, grapefruit juice. You could use fresh berries on skewers to compliment these drinks and orange slices on the sides of the glass. These drinks are the best and so refreshing in the Summer heat!

This is one of my friends favorites and it will utilize the bounties of northern California. You will need fresh fruit such as an assortment of berries or plums, peaches, nectorines... you choose the type. Put these in a beautiful pitcher and add a complimentary brandy (about 1/2 cup or so) such as cherry for the berries or peach for the pitted fruit. Let that macerate for a few hours and add white wine... about a bottles worth and let sit a bit longer (up to a day). Just before serving add sparkleing wine or soda (you decide according to how much alchohol you want to serve) . This recipe makes about a gallon of punch including the fruit. Remember that the fruit has soaked up much of the alchohol and eating it can make for a fun party and possibly a sleep-over. The berries also go well with red wine. This recipe is not rocket science you can add juice or necter or sprite or sugar or vodka. Herbs such as mint and lemon verbena are delicious with it. Your friends will love the adventure. Just make sure you are starting with quality product.
