Mushroom Steak Dianne

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb. sirloin steak (cut into bite size pieces)
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 cup fresh mushrooms (sliced)
  • 2 tsp. lemon pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. Dijon-style mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley (chopped)
  • Garnish with lemon slices

Directions:

Heat butter in skillet over medium heat. Place sirloin steak pieces and mushrooms in skillet. Sprinkle lemon pepper over beef. Cook sirloin pieces and mushrooms 5-6 minutes in stir-fry manner. Remove meat to a serving platter and keep warm. In skillet, heat thoroughly, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard. Pour sauce over sirloin pieces and sprinkle with parsley. Serves 4.

This caught my eye yesterday when I checked the daily tips. I made it for dinner! I didn't have sirloin, but used shoulder steak, cutting off all excess fat. I also used canned mushrooms and added them to the suace after the meat was done. It was really very good. I made "smashed potatoes" and the mushrooms/sauce were a nice touch to them. Thanks for planning my dinner.
