Use Your Blender To Grind A Bag Of Coffee

Gold Post Medal for All Time! 899 Posts

We recently bought a large bag of whole bean coffee at Costco. Grinding coffee beans can be quite messy, so I decided to get the grinding over with all at once. I used our blender to grind up all of the coffee, which was much quicker than our little coffee grinder.

I found a lidded plastic container that was a little bigger than our coffee filters. I prefilled a bunch of filters and stored them in the container. I put the remaining ground coffee in another lidded container. Now making coffee before running out the door in the morning is quick and less messy.

Love this idea. What speed do you use on your blender and how do you tell the grind of it. I mean do you ''eye'' it as a way to tell or what? Thanks!
