I have bought several small appliances without manuals at garage sales or thrift stores. I have had very good luck finding their websites online and getting their 800 phone numbers. I then call the company and politely tell them I have lost the manual for the appliance and more often then not they have send me a copy free of charge!

I've never used a bread machine. I always made my bread the old fashioned hand-kneaded way. But you can probably find a manual on either EBay or Craigslist on the web. Both sites have an amazing assortment of items for sale, or sometimes for barter. Would'nt hurt to give it a try.
