Favorite cross stitch saying:

"Grandparents are oldies with goodies."

By Julie

My favorite, seen a long time ago, remains:

"If a mother's place is in the home, why am I always in the car?"

By Karen

"Today is Yesterday's Tomorrow you worried about, and all is well."

By Nicole

"God blesses this kitchen - but He doesn't clean it!"

My personal fave, on my wall as a gift from my grandmother.

"Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup!"

Gram was a real hoot sometimes.

CJ in Dallas

There are some nice sayings here. My computer is in a spare bedroom and I've decorated it with pictures of my family that I've copied and stretched across the wall. The other thing I've done is taken sayings or poems that mean something to me and made them fancy by changing the lettering or adding a design and printed them out and hung them up on my wall too. The one I like the most is:
"Work like you don't need the money,
Love like you've never been hurt, and
Dance like you do when nobody's watching."

By Pam819

"Change is inevitable, except from vending machines"

"An unbreakable toy is useful for breaking other toys"

By Nex

My mother in law had this one hanging in her bathroom that was used for the children. And you can just imagine WHY!

By Elizabeth

"If you sprinkle when you tinkle. . .
Please be neat and wipe the seat."

"Life is for living, not just surviving"

"Sometimes you have to fall, just to remember how far from the bottom you are"

"Those who say it cannot be done, should not interrupt those doing it"

"Don't just get along, get along in style!"

"Friends come and go, you stay forever!"

By Panne

"I'm smiling because you're my sister
I'm laughing because you can't do anything about it"

By Barb

This is new to me but I love the thought....

"Don't stress about birthdays...
More candles just make life brighter!"

Just had a b-day with a big # and that is the advice my sis-in-law shared, brightened my day!

By Donna

My husband and I used to make little wooden signs and hand print sayings on them to sell at craft shows. I have several hundred that I have copied from t-shirts, hats, cross stitch, etc. and still make a few for friends that fit them.

I made one for the lady who cuts my hair:

"I'm a beautician...not a magician!"

For my daughter-in-law who is a worry wart:

"I know worrying must help because everything I worry about never happens!"

And for fishing friends:

"Work is for people who don't know how to fish"

My Dad's favorite was:

"Definition of a boat: A hole in the water that you throw money into!"

These are just a few.

By Harlean from Arkansas

"I started out with nothing...and I still have most of it."

"My wild oats have turned to shredded wheat."

"I finally got my head together, and now my body is falling apart."

"Funny, I don't remember being absentminded."

"Some days you're the dog, some days you're the hydrant."

"I wish the buck stopped here. I could use a few."

"The only time the world beats a path to your door is when you're in the bathroom."

"When I'm finally holding all the right cards, everyone decides to play chess."

"It's hard to meet expenses. They're everywhere."

By thriftmeg

"If Father had been alive, Rome WOULD have been built in a day!"

By Sharon

"Friends Welcome Anytime
Relatives By Appointment Only"

"I could do the work of two men... but I would have to slow down"

These are wonderful ideas. My friend is having her fourth boy. I heard a poem about a mother of sons that I would really like to crossstitch for her, but I can't find it. I know one line was about sons being a blessing. Does anyone know a poem like that? I could really use your help. Thanks.

I just have to say to whomever posted it - I love the one that said "You can't scare me. I have kids." It made me laugh out loud.
