Easy Theme Birthday Cakes
For birthday cakes, ice cream or regular, I use a theme napkin and put on the top of the cake. Then I outline the napkin or part of the napkin with piped icing. It looks like a movie premier sheet. The kids love it and you get the true picture!

Would it be safe for the kids to eat the icing with the ink on it though? It sounds like a great idea.
