Does anyone know if Paula Deen's gooey butter cakes freeze well? I need to make one for an event and would like to make it ahead of time.

yes, you can freeze Paula Deen's Gooey Butter Cakes. Freeze as whole or already sliced. Use plastic wrap. I have kept them up to a month.

Do you freeze the cake before or after its baked and how long does it last in freezer? Also who knows how to defrost.
I have read for example an apple pie can be frozen before its baked but needs to go in the oven frozen this way it doesnt get soggy
