use a babyfood jar and a sponge with a hole cut in the middle about the size of your finger. pour in the polish remover and use it like one of the fancy removers. When it gets clean it out and reuse.

with the high cost of tampons... I'd rather use toilet paper/ paper towel etc.

If you run out of cotton balls to remove your nail polish with, use a clean tampon! Hold it like a pen, dip it in the nail polish remover and easily wipe nail polish away! When the end gets too dirty, snip the end and reuse. Keep it to clean up smudges around the nails afterwards. Since you can hold it like a pen, you won't ruin your other nails.
