I have a big bean bag I got from, I think, Foof chairs. It was about $250 dollars and my cat started spraying on it. He has done it more than once so the unwanted smell has soaked in the bean bag and the inside is made out of cotton. Does anybody know what I could possibly do to get rid of the smell?
For future reference, I suggest you make sure that the litter box is kept very clean!

Try "Natures Miracle" or one of the other enzyme products available at pet stores. Soak the area well and let it dry. When it is dry the smell should be gone. I have done it twice on tough odors. Remember it must be completely dry (it can take a couple days) before the smell will be gone. Good luck!

Try the pee recipe, search for it on the archives here. I've posted it several times.
You can usually get that enzyme stuff at either the vet's office, a local animal groomer, or a country feed store. They may seem expensive, but if you compare their prices with the cost of ordering online and having to pay shipping as well, it may not be that bad. (04/30/2009)
My cat has been spraying my furniture and I did not know it until it started to leave a bad ordor. I need to know what is the best home remedy to use for getting rid of the odor.
