We went to a B'day party over the weekend and someone brought the most delicious DIRT CAKE made inside of a clean pail and used a shovel to serve it. It was so good, that most people ate too much of it and left with a tummy ache. LOL.
Crumble Oreos, a few at a time, in a blender or food processor. Blend pudding and milk. Blend cream cheese and cool whip; add to pudding mixture and mix well. Put a layer of crumbled Oreos into the flowerpot; add some pudding and candy worms and continue layering. Top layer of "dirt" is made of Oreo cookies with worms wriggling out.
Place flowers on top. Serves 15 to 20.
In a food processor or blended crush cookies until fine. Set aside. In a mixing bowl beat cream cheese, butter and sugar until smooth. In another bowl, mix pudding and milk until blended. Fold into cheese mixture. Fold in whipped topping. Line flowerpot with foil. Alternate layers of crumbs and pudding ending with crumbs. Chill several hours or overnight. Decorate with silk flowers and gummy worms. Makes 12 servings.
Mix crushed cookies and melted butter. Save 1 1/2 cup cookie crumbs for top and pat the rest in bottom of 9x13 inch pan. Cool until set. Blend half of Cool Whip with cream cheese and spread over cookie crumbs. Mix chocolate pudding according to package directions. Use slightly less milk for a firmer pudding. Spread over layers and cool. Top with remaining Cool Whip and rest of cookie crumbs. Delicious!

I have made this many times although I have always used French Vanilla Pudding instead of the chocolate. It's always a big hit whenever I make it.
You can also make Sand Cake. Instead of the Oreos use vanilla creme cookies. Don't use the worms. Serve in a child's clean, new sand pail and serve with the sand shovel. This is especially good when you are having a Beach Party or a Pool Party.
