Advice for Buying a Potter's Wheel

I'm looking into buying a potter's wheel of my own. I've meandered about the internet trying to research which wheels are best for my buck ($600 is my absolute limit), but I have no leads. If you know of a brand or style or even a feature that is a definite plus on a potter's wheel, could you please clue me in.

Ooh good idea, Craigslist.
But I still need to know what kind of wheel I should look into.
I know that in sewing, Bernina is a top of the line brand. In purses it's Gucci, and in tennis shoes it's Nike. Is there a "top of the line" brand in potter's wheels?
