Coring Lettuce
To core lettuce easily and quickly in a hurry with a capital "H", simply bang the core part firmly down on counter or table surface. The core will come right out, no mess, and it's a snap!

To remove a little more of the "bitter stuff", using a $2.25 bulb planter tool from Wal-Mart is another option.

I was taught this same method when I worked in a restaurant at age 17. It does work!
