- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- red food coloring
- 1 qt. strawberries
- 1 9-inch pie shell, baked
- 8 oz. whipped topping
Combine sugar, water, cornstarch, butter and food coloring; cook until thick. Remove from heat; fold in strawberries. Pour into cooled pie shell; chill for 3-4 hours. Serve with whipped topping.
