Ingredients
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 cup celery, diced
- butter
- 1 1/2 cups cream
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 3 Tbsp. whole wheat pastry flour
- 1 small can mushroom pieces
- 1/3 cup chicken broth
- 1 tsp. soy sauce
- 4 drops Tabasco sauce
- pepper
- 2 cups cooked chicken, diced
- 1 1/2 cups bean sprouts
- 1 cup chow mein noodles
- 1/2 cup cashews
Directions
Saute' onion and celery in butter. Make a sauce with the 4 Tbsp. butter, whole wheat flour, 1 1/2 cups cream. Stir the sauce in saucepan over medium heat until thick. Add sauce to onion and celery mixture. Add mushrooms, soy sauce, Tabasco, pepper, chicken and bean sprouts. Simmer a few minutes. Pour into casserole dish. Sprinkle with noodles and nuts. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.
