Making Pretty Card Tie-Ons |
Whether it be for Christmas Tie-Ons or birthday Tie-Ons the below hint will be economical, pretty and personalized.
I save all greeting cards & when I have an afternoon of "free time" I start cutting parts of the card with scissors that have decorative blades (like half moons or lacy patterns). You could for example cut out a flower or a Santa Claus & then using a hole cutter, pierce a hole in the card & use ribbon, raffia, string or whatever. You now have free pretty Tie-Ons.

An easy and inexpensive gift tag idea is to use unruled index cards and holiday stickers. Just fold the blank index card in half, place a holiday or birthday sticker on the front and write "TO & FROM:" on the inside. A package of 100 index cards cost 33 cents and you can get sheets of holiday or birthday stickers at the $1 Store. Now you have supplies to make several gift tags for less than $1.50!
