Craft Project: Cupcake Birthday Cake Card

Cupcake Birthday Cake Card Step 5Step by step process of making a fun birthday card using paper cut-outs.

Approximate Time: bit more than an hour

Supplies:

  • scraps of colored paper
  • scissors or paper-cutting knife
  • glue
  • scale
  • pencil
  • sketch-pens

Instructions:

B-Day Card Suppies

Note : I used colored papers to make it faster. If you don't have them, you can color white sheets of paper with paint or crayons and use them instead; it'll be more fun too :)

  1. Take a rectangular piece of paper (I used the yellow one). Draw the outline (as shown in the image) and cut it accordingly.
  2. Cupcake Birthday Cake Card Step 1

  3. Take another piece of paper, its height about one-third the previous one (I chose a pink paper for this). Draw the given outline and cut it in the same way.
  4. Cupcake Birthday Cake Card Step 2

  5. Fold the sides of the pink cut-out and paste it on the yellow one to make a pocket (as shown).
  6. Cupcake Birthday Cake Card Step 3

  7. Cut pieces of paper and glue them on the pocket as added decorations. You can even try out the popped cones for fun. For that, cut a slit in a square paper and glue the cut edges to make the cone shape and cut the base round. (see image)
  8. Cupcake Birthday Cake Card Step 4

  9. Glue round shapes to decorate the top.You can even glue a rectangular piece and a flame-shaped cut-out to make the candle on top. Then, finally you can put a paper with your message in the pocket.
  10. Cupcake Birthday Cake Card Step 5

And it's done!
