Peanut Butter Brownie Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 package of fudge brownie mix (9x13 inch pan)
  • 12 peanut butter cups, chopped
  • 1/2 cup of chopped salted peanuts
  • 2 cups (12 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/4 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1 Tbsp. of butter
  • 1/8 tsp. of salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups crisp rice cereal

Directions

Prepare brownie batter according to package directions. Spread into a greased 13x9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs.

Sprinkle with peanut butter cups and peanuts. Bake 4-6 minutes longer or until chocolate is melted. Cool on a wire rack.

Meanwhile, in a large pan, combine the chocolate chips, peanut butter, butter and salt. Cook and stir until chips are melted and mixture is smooth. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and cereal. Carefully spread over brownies. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours before cutting.

Eat up chocolate lovers.....
